So this is the Atlantic shawl that I made as my holiday project, after all the making of gifts for others was done in December 2015. I used Truly Hooked’s ‘Rainbows in the night’ cashmere mix yarn for the main body, and Unbelievawool’s ‘elegance’ silk and merino yarn for the border. And beads, lots of beads, which I inserted with a teeny hook as I went, rather than thread them all on (which is what the pattern tells you to do). Life is too short to count beads, and its even shorter to sit and thread them onto yarn. I have important tea to drink…
